Fat Injection

INTRODUCTION

Lipoinjection, also known as Autologous Fat Transfer (AFT), is a surgical procedure. Here “Autologous” means obtained from your own body. Basically fat is taken from one area of your body and transferred (grafted) to your penis.

INDICATIONS

If you want to increase the thickness and girth of your penis then fat injection is the way ahead. It is usually combined with penile lengthening surgery

What type of anaesthesia will I need?

The procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia. The donor site in addition is also given tumescent anaesthesia to facilitate removal of fat cells

PROCEDURE

Fat is removed from areas of your body where there is excess, for instance, the tummy area, thigh, back and arms. The donor area is injected with tumescent anaesthesia which makes the area numb and reduces its blood supply. After waiting for 6 to 10 minutes liposuction of the area is done and fat cells are collected in a container. Through sedimentation fat cells get separated from blood. Fat cells are then filled up in syringes and injected into your penis.

What is the recovery period?

Swelling and bruising both at the liposuction and fat grafted site can happen and usually take 2 to 4 weeks to resolve. Light activity, such as household work can be started 5 days after fat grafting and you can join back work.

Pain is more like discomfort and gets easier with each passing day. It is further controlled with pain killer which are provided for 1 week

Does Lipoinjection last?

In majority of the patient the grafted fat survives indefinitely Small percentage of cases the volume of grafted fat may reduce due to resorption of the fat. One has to follow healthy lifestyle in the form of diet and exercise to maintain the result as excessive weight gain or loss will also lead to gain and loss respectively in the fat grafted area.

If you experience resorption of fat in the grafted areas repeat fat grafting can be done after a span of 6 months.
